Watching Premier League Games

I get asked a lot about this subject so we're going to be adding some more detail to the site, in the meantime, some basic advice about watching Premier League games. these are very popular and it's often difficult to get tickets to these games, especially the large clubs i.e. Liverpool vs. Arsenal. The good news is that there are a number of clubs in the London area so the options for seeing a home game are better than other cities. Teams in the London area (as of 2019/20 season) are:

North London: Arsenal, Tottenham, West Ham

South and Central London: Chelsea, Crystal Palace (local train),

1-2 Hours on a train: Leicester City (~1 hour one way from St Pancras), Bournemouth (~2 hours one way from Waterloo), Brighton (~1 hr 15 mins from Victoria), Watford (~20 mins - 1 hour from Euston), Southampton (1.5 hours from Waterloo), Norwich (~2 hours)

Note that these times are one way, so double for roundtrip and also add in time to get to the station within London as well as the ground once you get there. Norwich for example you can walk about 1/4 mile from the station to the ground so is quite easy to do, others may be further. Places like Bournemouth, Brighton and Norwich are good days out as well so you can take in a bit of these cities if you did decide to go further.

Also consider that if you're a fan of the away team and sit in the home team stands this can be a bit tricky depending on the ground and where in the stadium you're sitting.

Tickets

This is the tricky part, getting tickets isn't easy. You can go to the football team's website and look for tickets ahead of time, for both away and home teams. This site is a good reference: Drive on the Left
